I am going to start this Blog off with a bio from this Artist's own a page. Cause I just recently came across CARA BEING BLUE about a month ago. Became Friends with Cara (Cara Lippman) herself. So here is her Bio and then I will give my thought afterwards.
Cara Being Blue’s personality arrives ten minutes before she does! She and her top-notch band of world-class musicians have entertained crowds festivals and night spots all over Middle Tennessee for many years with high energy blues music and laughs. This dynamic and engaging band is fronted by native Bostonian, Cara Lippman, mentored by the great Shirley Lewis, Regal Queen of the Blues, of Boston. Cara came to Nashville over a decade ago to hone her live performance skills. In no time on the local Music City blues scene, she was bestowed the titles of “Jam Queen,” “Nashville Blues Society Jambassador,” and “Empress of the Blues.” She and her band were nominated Best Live Blues Band (Best Blues Artist) four years in a row by the Nashville Industry Music Awards (NIMA). Her original music continues to be played on blues radio programs all across the world for her global fan base. Early in 2016, Cara was honored by the Tennessee Rhythm and Blues Society for her contribution to blues music in Middle Tennessee. Cara created and hosts the famous Tuesday Pro Blues Jam at the Local Nashville every week. In 2018, Cara and her blues jam were featured on the Taiwanese television program “Music Everywhere”. She quickly won the hearts and respect of the local industry, blues radio, her peers and fans with the way she lights up a stage and sincerely values her band, jammers, and listeners. In late 2018, Cara was voted into the office of Secretary with the new Nashville Blues & Roots Alliance. Cara’s new album, “Grit,” has a release date of 1/1/19, and she will be taking those new tunes to the UK and Europe in March 2019 on her Grit Tour. For booking, contact [email protected]. So with that said, I found Cara on the internet, I first heard her song "FULL THROTTLE" off of her first Album. Loved the way sang real Bluesy and Gritty. So then I proceed to look for songs by her. And in the Process I came across Cara Fan Page "Cara Being Blue Official Fan Group" This is where I found that Cara was coming out with a new Album within weeks. So I was able to actually get in touch Cara, and was able to buy both CDs. So in the mist of this happening I found some videos of Cara's. I was overwhelmed with the sound of her voice and the emotions Cara has when she sings. Simply Amazing, Plus as a Bonus the Cds were being delivered around my Birthday and Cara made a homemade card and sent in the package along with a button and sticker... This was so COOL. Cara does a Tuesday Pro Blues Jam at The Local Nashville. I just can say enough about Cara, Been Chatting with her off and on now. She is a Real Down to Earth person... And her singing and songwriting is Amazing.. Do yourself a favorite and check Cara out https://carabeingblue.com I hope to have her Play some day here in St. Louis. Cara is definitely a Rising Star... ♫ <3 ♫

This about one of my Favorite Rock and Roll Musician. This will be the 60th anniversary of Buddy's Death. Feb 3rd 1959, The Winter Dance Party tour began in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on January 23, 1959. The amount of travel involved created logistical problems, as the distance between venues had not been considered when scheduling performances. Adding to the problem, the unheated tour buses twice broke down in freezing weather, with dire consequences. Holly's drummer Carl Bunch was hospitalized for frostbite to his toes (suffered while aboard the bus), so Holly decided to seek other transportation. Before their appearance in Clear Lake, Iowa, on February 2, Holly chartered a four-seat Beechcraft Bonanza airplane from Dwyer Flying Service in Mason City, Iowa, for Jennings, Allsup, and himself. Holly's idea was to depart following the show at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake and fly to their next venue, in Moorhead, Minnesota, via Fargo, North Dakota, allowing them time to rest and launder their clothes and avoid a rigorous bus journey. Immediately after the Clear Lake show (which ended just before midnight), Allsup agreed to flip a coin for the seat with Valens. Valens called heads; when he won, he reportedly said, "That's the first time I've ever won anything in my life," Allsup later opened a restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas called Heads Up. Waylon Jennings voluntarily gave up his seat to J. P. Richardson (the Big Bopper), who had influenza and complained that the tour bus was too cold and uncomfortable for a man of his size. Buddy was one of the first singer I heard as a child, I was born 3yrs after his death, But in our house I don't know where they came from I had two 45's "THAT'LL BE THE DAY" AND "I'M LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE". Ever since then I have loved Buddy's singing and his unique guitar playing. I truly believe that Buddy was one of the main pioneers of the ROCK AND ROLL ERA. Some of my favorite songs are "EVERYDAY", "RAINING IN MY HEART", "IT'S SO EASY". One of things I have learned about Buddy is the way he played his guitar, he only strummed down, never up. which is really unique. So every year on the 3rd of February I always try to play as much of Buddy's music as I can.... In ending this. I believe that Music would not be the same with out Buddy... Thank you Buddy for what you gave us in such a short time... ♫ <3 ♫
