Magpie

  Late last year I discover a Singer/songwriter named Magpie from Sweden.  She does not have any recorded material out, she does do some live video streams on Facebook. She also has a YouTube Channel and a page on Reverbnation. 

​I only know a little about her, she lives in Sweden and writes sad songs, which is OK cause all of her songs maybe sad but they Beautifully written from the heart. Now lets talk about Magpie's singing. I have been dealing with music for over 45 yrs and have never heard a voice as pure and beautiful as Magpies. To me there just isn't anyone to compare her to. When Magpie sings it is just a magical experience that takes you into the song, you can actually feel of the pain and heartache in the song. So if you like Singer/songwriters I highly suggest you check out Magpie.

Here is some info on Magpie:
 Magpie is a self-taught singer-songwriter from Sweden.  She taught herself to play guitar at the young age of 16.  Then, she wrote her first song.  Magpie remembers sitting with her father listening to music from his extensive record collection which consisted of groups like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, and Motorhead.  When her father was young he played drums.  His influence played a large part in Magpie's musical aspirations.
 
  When Magpie was in high school she was in an all-girl band. Magpie says that she is mostly inspired by emotions and feelings.  Although sometime a phrase will just pop into her head and then it becomes a song.  This can even happen while she is trying to drift off to sleep.  And she'll immediately get up to write it down. Magpie’s mom once told her she doesn't write songs "she throws them up".  LOL

The name Magpie came about because she has a strong love for Birds. Her favorite one is the Magpie, because they are one of the smartest birds around. And are totally underestimated. Plus, they are Beautiful.
