I have been a fan of Jenni Dale Lord for about a year now. The first time I heard her sing I was hooked, she has such an amazing voice, Jenni’s voice is very unique in a way that she sings in a lower range then most females, which for me is exactly what I look for in the female singers I like & she is an incredible songwriter.
This is Jenni’s 8th album since 2012, on this album there are 7 original songs & one song co-written by Jenni/Jerrod Medulla out of the 13 amazing songs.
I now have six of the eight albums, have listened to them many times. This latest album is right up there with the others if not slightly better.
Jenni has the talent of being able to sing a song that is either her own or written by someone else in a way that you always feel the emotions of the lyrics.

The first song released off this album was “Dinner & a Heartbreak”. Also, the first song on the album. This song is very well written, It has a bit of a twist on a normal breakup. I love the way she finishes the song the same way it begins, this is not always easy to do.  If you need a song to show you who Jenni Dale Lord is, I think this is a good place to start, because her voice is impeccable.
 
The second song is “I Still Think About You”. This song is co-written with Jerrod Medulla. I love how this song is written, it’s a story of a love affair that never happen, but the two people are happy in their current relationship. I am so glad that Jenni decided to have this as a duet with Jerrod Medulla. It really brings the song together.
 
The third song is “Sailing” yes this is Christopher Cross’s song. For me it seem to be a bit out of Jenni’s wheelhouse, but Jenni does an excellent job on it. This song just shows how versatile Jenni’s ability to sing in many different styles. I really love this song more now than when I first heard it back in 1979. Jenni does an amazing job on this song.
 
The fourth song “I’d really like to have a boyfriend”. This song really picks up the beat, love how the lyrics are sung in a way to go with the rhythm of the song.  This is a song, if written back about 60 years ago this song would have been banned. But today it’s the way the world is. Jenni has a great way of writing songs with a twist in them.
 
The fifth song is “Tune-up”.  I love this song, it’s got this good Country/Western style to it. Jenni vocals on this song is impeccable. It’s a short song, but it grabs your attention right out of the gate. This song will definitely get you up off your seat and dance. Great choice of song.
 
The sixth song is “Ready Set Summer”. This song has a unique melody to it. I love the organ on it and the rhythm of the drums, the sound just yells Summer. The Chorus has that Jimmy Buffet feel to it. This is probably one of the best Summer songs that I have heard in a long time.
 
The seventh song is “If Leaving You Were Easy”. This song has the feel of an early 80’s Country song. I could see Crystal Gayle sing this song. Jenni does a great job on this song. Songs like this is what drew me to follow Jenni. The way Jenni sings this song, her vocals are just so smooth. I think this song I listened to at least nine times in a row, due to the fact that it’s so easy to listen to.
 
The eighth song is “I’m a Little Teapot”. A real Bluesy/Rock song. Jenni help to adapt this song into the sassy little number that it is, which gives Jenni an opportunity to show that she can do those kind of sexy numbers. Jenni’s vocal gives this song the edge it needs. Great job.
 
The ninth song “Wake Up Again”. This is an original by Jenni, I love her songwriting. Jenni has a talent of telling a story without actually coming out and telling it. She always gives you a different ways to see what is being said. This song is a very good example of that.
 
The Tenth song is “Story of Your Life” this is another original song by Jenni, such a beautiful song. Again, just show the amazing talent the Jenni has as songwriter. Being a DJ I have had the task of preparing music for funerals, all I can say is that this song is one of best I have heard in a long time.
 
The eleventh song is “A Million Moments” the title track. I think that everyone can relate to this song at some point in their life. This song really shows how Jenni can write such a beautiful song, not sure if this song is autobiographical of Jenni’s life. I listened to this song many times & always had a tear in my eye. Jenni’s voice is so perfect on this song, her tone gives it the feeling it needs to show all the emotions going on. One of the best songs on this album.
 
The twelfth song is “Whole Lotta Nada”. This song is a good feel Louisiana Cajun style song. Another duet don’t know much about the guy singing with Jenni, but it a great fit. You will definitely be up on the floor dancing with this song.
 
The Thirteen song is “Besame Mucho”. This song is from Jenni’s Mexican Heritage. Here is a short history of “Bésame Mucho” (“Kiss Me a Lot”) was written in 1941 by Consuelo Velasquez, who was about 15 years old at the time, in bolero style. Inspired by the Nightingale Aria from the opera “Goyescas” by Enrique Granados, she said that she had never been kissed when she wrote the song. Love the way the song starts, they have sounding like it would have sounded in 1941 on the radio. Then it goes into a more modern sound, without a doubt Jenni shows the most emotions in this song. I have a lot of respect for artist that can sing songs that are from other cultures and sing them as well as Jenni does this song. Bravo!
 
I have said it a few times thru my review, that this album will without a doubt be my #1 for 2024. I had the great pleasure of seeing Jenni perform live in an intimate setting of a house concert. I have to admit they I thought Jenni was mainly a Country singer. But after seeing her live & listening to the latest album I was wrong. Jenni is a very versatile artist, her vocals are so amazing. The tone in her voice is so easy to listen to, no matter if she is singing a soft ballad or a little bit of a rocking song.

Now let’s talk about Jenni’s songwriting, she has an incredible talent for this. The songs that she writes always have a different perspective on whatever subject she is singing about. Also, they are songs that I feel everyone will be able to relate with.
 
So, over all this album is something everyone needs in their collection. For the simple reason that it has a plethora of styles. This has been one of the most enjoyable reviews I have ever done.  I would also say just put it on your phone and hit repeat, you will never get tired of listening to it. I know I haven’t.
