Prairie Rehab is a St. Louis based band that has been around since 2009. The band is mainly Americana style music, but they have a way of adding in some Jazz, Pop,Folk and Country. The Band consist of Lacie Williams-- vocals, acoustic and electric guitars. Scott Swartz -- pedal steel, electric guitar, BGV's. John Baldus -- drums, percussion, accordion. Christian Schaeffer -- keyboards. Ezequiel Valguarnera -- bass, BGV's. Now if you know me then you know that this is not really my style of music. But the first time I heard this group I just couldn't help from listening. From the beautiful vocals of Lacie to the amazing sounds from the band. The songs that they write and perform are so melodic and captivating. I recently got their newest CD "Lilac and Grey". I just sat and listen to it 3 times in a row, because I just couldn't stop listening to Lacie's voice . When she sing it's like taking you to a magical place that you remember from your childhood. Where you feel warm and safe. Each song is very well written story and brings it all to life. My favorite songs on this CD are: Lately, Angels perhaps and Solstice. If you ever get a chance to see them perform or buy one of their CDs I highly recommend you do. Some awards they have won are: RFT Music Awards Best Country Band 2013 RFT Music Awards Best Country Band Nominee 2012 RFT Music Awards Best Americana (Traditional) Band Nominee 2011 RFT Best Country Band (Alternative) 2010 You can find them at: http://www.prairierehabmusic.com/?fbclid=IwAR2h_sSdZzYcbh67XdPC-UB7Hdkl-BEtLLDmef9EQ6R4UgIf77987Qnjz3k https://www.facebook.com/prairierehab/ Influences Aimee Mann, The Jayhawks, Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, The Carpenters, Graham Parker, Gram Parsons, Cindy Walker, Lyle Lovett, Foster & Lloyd, Centro-Matic, Squeeze, Sorta, Marti Jones, Prefab Sprout, The Beatles, Big Star, XTC, Scott Miller, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, etc
